WordCamp San Diego 2012

Hey campers,

As you may already know we launched a logo design contest this week in an effort to get the community involved.  If you want to review the contest rules you can find them here.

After getting some feedback we have decided to provide a bit of direction on the theme we are considering for WordCamp San Diego.  If you have already started a concept, we’re open to suggestions, but simply wanted to try and provide some inspiration if needed.

The suggested theme for WCSD 2012 is WordPress Spring Training

Come to sunny San Diego this spring to get your WordPress game in shape for the 2012 season.  We will be featuring home grown talent, as well as, bringing in All-Stars from around the US for our sessions.  This is a ticket that you do not want to miss out on.

It’s official folks, WordCamp San Diego 2012 will be March 24th & 25th, 2012.

We’re very excited to report that this year we moved the venue to  Thomas Jefferson School of Law right in the heart of downtown’s East Village. It sits right next to a trolley station giving you quick and easy access to all the things downtown has to offer, most importantly the event hotel and after party (priorities of course…).

East Village is nestled nicely against the infamous Gas Lamp quarter and makes up the largest district of San Diego downtown, encompassing 130 blocks.

As you can tell we have a ways to go on the site but that won’t stop us from getting you the information as it becomes available. There is a lot of work to be done but the organizing group is committed to making this the best event yet.
