Where to Stay (Marriott in Image)
Looking for a place to stay for WordCamp? Great! Here’s a list of hotels nearby that we recommend:
- Courtyard Marriott (Highly Recommended – VERY close)
- Homewood Suites (Second Recommendation – Also Uber Close)
- The Pearl (Boutique & close to venue)
- Ocean Beach Hotel (about a 10 min drive; right on the water)
- Inn at Sunset Cliffs (in OB; 10 min drive; right on the water)
There are also a number of excellent hotels downtown; The Declan is one of the newer hotels that is pretty nice, but be prepared for a 10-15 minute taxi/uber to the venue.
Things to Do
San Diego Activies
If you’re coming into San Diego early or leaving late then you may want to check out some cool sights. If you have a surf board you could go catch some waves at one of our many great beaches, but if not here’s what we recommend:
- Cabrillo Monument (history, hiking, views)
- Sunset Cliffs – (beach walk, cliffs, amazing sunsets)
- Newport Ave in OB – (shops, bars, pier)
- Dog Beach – (pooches, water, fun)
